Document information retrieval system based on metadata
27 set 1995
AICA 95 Italian Congress - Chia - (Cagliari) 27 - 29 September 1995
In the 1995 developed a prototype in Java of an HTML document information retrieval system based on metadata. The idea was to extend the HTML language with custom tags defining entities and relationships in the document text. A database-like schema was designed on top of document structure so to use SQL to make query about document content. That idea has evolved in the W3C RDF standard. The results of this research have been presented at the 1995 AICA Italian Congress.
Second place in the Vodafone-Microsoft Mobile Developers Contest in 2004
My project was “Share Car Journeys planning for on demand carpools”, a service to request a ride by car to drivers who share the same routes for a certain date. The system collects requests and offers and finds the best combinations to offer to users. The competition was used to promote Vodafone's new services for using SMS via web services based on Microsoft technology.
Ease of use, utility, security, privacy, multi-device experience are the principles behind every creation. I have always created first for myself to solve a problem and give me a tool that I could master and forge according to my wishes and then give it to all other people who might have the same problem.
